SUN PEAKS (BRISTISH COLUMBIA)

Sun Peaks is the 2nd largest ski area in Canada and with abundant sunshine between regular dry snowfalls, this makes Sun Peaks a great ski holiday destination. KIMBERLEY (BRISTISH COLUMBIA)

Within its impressive 1220 vertical metres, Panorama Mountain Village offers some of Canada's longest fall-line cruisers, backcountry style skiing in Taynton Bowl, and the biggest and best freestyle Terrain Park in the Canadian Rockies region.

The Taynton experience is complemented by super-long cruising runs featuring Panorama’s award-winning grooming. For freestyle enthusiasts, an expert and an intermediate terrain park flesh out the mountain’s offerings with rails, tabletops and halfpipe. The terrain is broken down into 15% beginner, 55% intermediate/advanced and 30% expert. Situated on the edge of the famous Bugaboos, Panorama is part of the largest heli-ski region in the world. Take a Heli-Ski day trip direct from Panorama into the high alpine backcountry.

KICKING HORSE (BRISTISH COLUMBIA)

Facts:
Kicking Horse Mountain Resort brings to mind rugged adventure in its very name. And rugged adventure is what you’ll find in the resorts magnificent setting in the Purcell Range of the Canadian Rockies. Surrounded by six national parks, Kicking Horse is as scenic as it is exhilarating.

Kicking Horse is known for its fine, dry Purcell “Champagne” Powder and its northeast facing slopes are ideally positioned for retaining snow. The resort thrills skiers and boarders with its 1260m vertical drop. The terrain consists of gentle beginner slopes, long groomed corduroy linking trails, open powder bowls, tight chutes and extreme steeps.

There are plenty of activities to keep visitors busy at Kicking Horse. Get to know the resorts trails with the help of a knowledgeable guide. Cross-country skiers enjoy 14 km of trails ranging from softly rolling track for beginners to more difficult terrain for advanced skiers. There's hundreds of miles of frozen travel to explore via snowmobile and and ice climbers looking to challenge their skills will find more than 60 trails within an hour of the resort. Kicking Horse also offers snowshoeing, telemark skiing and flight sightseeing.

Many accommodation options are available at the foot of the slopes within Kicking Horse Village. Alternatively, the nearby town of Golden is about a 20 minute shuttle bus ride away and offers additional accommodation.

BANFF (ALBERTA)

Facts:
Uncrowded slopes, Abundant snowfall, Mountain towns alive with spirit - all within Banff National Park in the Canadian Rockies. This ski region is made up of two cool mountain towns and three incredible ski resorts.

Sunshine Village is renowned for its lengthy season from mid-November until late May. Just 15 minutes from the resort town of Banff, Sunshine Village offers over 3,300 acres of terrain on three mountains, with an average annual snowfall of almost 10 metres! The resort features 3 different mountains to explore and the novel opportunity to ski or ride in both the province of Alberta and British Columbia on the same run.

Spectacular scenery awaits at Lake Louise with uniquely beautiful terrain that is both vast and varied. With 4200 skiable acres, Lake Louise is one of the largest ski areas in North America. JASPER & MARMOT BASIN (ALBERTA)

Facts:
Located in the breathtaking, vast and ruggedly mountainous landscape of Jasper National Park in the Canadian Rocky Mountains, Marmot Basin is a ski destination that inspires lasting memories.
