  Gold: morning city tour including Novodevichy Cemetery.  Afternoon at leisure (B)
    Platinum: morning Kremlin visit.  After lunch time to explore Red Square. (B, L)
     

Day 3

  Moscow
    Gold: morning Kremlin & Armoury Museum.  Afternoon free (B)
    Platinum: morning tour including Novodevichy Cemetery.  After lunch Cosmonautics Museum. (B, L)
   

Day 4

  Moscow & Cruise embarkation
    Gold: Morning free.  Midday check out & visit to Tretyakov Art Gallery & metro.  Board Volga Dream
    Platinum: Morning check out and Tretyakov Art Gallery.  After lunch explore metro & board Volga Dream
   
Day 5
  Uglich
   
Afternoon arrival in Uglich, one of the oldest cities in Russia, founded in 1148.  During your walking tour of the city you will see the Church of St. Dmitry on the Blood, the Church of the Transfiguration and attend a concert of choral music. (B, L, D)
   

Day 6

  Yaroslavl
   
Morning arrival in Yaroslavl, the oldest city on the Volga River and a World Heritage Site. Visit the Church of St. Elijah the Prophet with its rich frescoes and take part in a costumed reception at the
Governor's House. (B, L, D)
                     
 
Day 7
  Goritsy
   
Early this morning, your ship crosses the White Lake to arrive in the peaceful village of Goritsy. A short bus trip takes you to the fortress-like Kirillo-Belozersky Monastery. Enjoy a vodka tasting with tonight's dinner. (B, L, D)
     
Day 8
  Kizhi
   
This afternoon you cruise through Lake Onega, Europe's second largest lake, to tiny Kizhi Island, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. A highlight of your walking tour of the open-air Museum of Architecture is
the wooden Church of the Transfiguration, built in 1714 and featuring 22 cupolas made from aspen. Tonight you may enjoy a piano concert on board. (B, L, D)
     
Day 9
  Svir River & Mandrogi
   
Enjoy the scenery as your ship navigates the Svir River towards Lake Ladoga, Europe's largest freshwater lake. During WWII the frozen lake provided the only access to the besieged city of Leningrad and became known as the 'Road of Life'.  Step ashore for a brief visit of Mandrogi, a
traditional wooden village where you can buy locally made handicrafts. (B, L, D)
     
Day 10
  St. Petersburg
   
Morning arrival in St. Petersburg, where you disembark for a full day's sightseeing.
    Gold: Morning city tour and Peter & Paul Fortress.  After lunch Heritage Museum. (B, L)
    Platinum: Morning city tour and Peter & Paul Fortress.  After lunch Faberge Museum. (B, L)
     
Day 11
  St. Petersburg
    Gold: Morning visit to Peterhof Bath Cottage & lower park.  Afternoon free (B)
    Platinum: Early entrance to Hermitage Museum.  After lunch visit Peterhof Bath cottage & park. (B, L)
     
Day 12
  St. Petersburg
   
Morning drive to the town of Pushkin, also known as Tsars' Village until 1917, to visit the magnificent Baroque Catherine's Palace with its famous Amber Room. After lunch at a traditional log-house
restaurant
    Gold: Return to St. Petersburg and visit the Faberge Museum. (B, L)
    Platinum: Visit a 'Russia in Miniature' interactive museum.  Evening small boat canal cruise. (B, L)
     
Day 13
  St. Petersburg departure
    Tour services end after breakfast with transfer to the airport. (B)
