Departure times vary with the season, however it is always early in the morning as the best conditions for ballooning are in the calm of dawn.

Hotel pick-up, Flying time approx 1 hr, however allow up to 4 hrs for the full experience. Ballooning is a hands on experience and guests are encouraged to join in the activity. Punting in the Park*

 

Sit back and relax in a traditional English Punt. Tours depart from the historic Antigua Boatsheds and travel a 2km return journey along the Avon River, which divides Hagley Park and the Botanical Gardens. Professional Boatmen, in straw boaters and traditional dress give an informative and entertaining guide to the Avon River and the Botanical Gardens. An easy five minute walk from the Museum, Botanical Gardens, Arts Centre and the nearest Christchurch Tram Stop.
