Kulnine Homestead, Kekerengu

Mudbrick Lodge, Rai Valley
Nestled in a secluded thousand-acre valley halfway between Nelson and Marlborough, Mudbrick Lodge is an idyllic base from which to explore the attractions of New Zealand's famous Marlborough Sounds and Nelson regions.  It is set in 5 acres of landscaped gardens overlooking a natural spring fed pond, populated by native bird life and surrounded with a menageries of farm animals. The homestead and the separate guest accommodation are both constructed from sun-dried adobe mudbricks and Macrocarpa wood milled from the surrounding land. The mudbricks, 12-18 inch thick blocks made from a mixture of clay, sand and straw, retain heat throughout the winter yet remain luxuriously cool throughout the heat of Marlborough's stunning summer months.
Accommodation: The Mudbrick Guesthouse is a stone's throw from the main Lodge and contains three suites.  All the guest rooms have a super king size bed and full ensuite.

The Peppertree, Blenheim
The Peppertree takes its name from the grove of Pepper Trees which line the drive leading to the gracious Edwardian Villa.  Built in 1901 from native timbers it is located in 10 acres of lush farmland and surrounded by an extensive country garden, a boutique vineyard and olive grove. Accommodation:  5 suites with fireplace and balconies. William Morris Suite- King size bed & a large private bathroom with bath and shower. Dormer Suite - Queen size bed with a large ensuite. Sunset Suite - Queen size bed with an ensuite with a shower and special non-slip tiles under foot. Bell Suite - There are twin or king size bed options and an ensuite with shower and non-slip tiles. Hall Suite - Twin or king size bed with an ensuite which offers full wheelchair access.

Uno Piu, Blenheim
This elegant homestead was built in 1917.  It is situated on 4 acres of established gardens in the heart of the Marlborough wine region near a number of vineyards and just 3 kms from Blenheim. 

Accommodation: 2 guest rooms (Venezia Room & Toscana Room) with ensuite bathrooms and super king/twin or king sized beds.

Nelson Region 

Awaroa Lodge, Abel Tasman National Park
90 mins by water taxi or 20 minutes by light plane from Nelson, Awaroa Lodge is situated on the doorstep of Abel Tasman National Park. It offers a perfect balance of natural comfort and contemporary style.

  12 superior studio suites each with a king bed and a comfortable pull-out couch to sleep up to three people per room.  Spacious shower and/or bath in the en suite. Private outdoor decks.  10 deluxe rooms, 4 king rooms have a king bed, 2 king rooms have a king bed and a foldout couch bed for up to four people, 4 spacious queen rooms. Cathedral Inn, Nelson
A perfect location set on a rise in the blue ribbon residential neighbourhood beside Nelson Cathedral, quiet and secluded but just a few minutes stroll to the centre of town with its cafes, restaurants, galleries & shopping.

A unique colonial homestead situated in a beautiful setting of fourth generation apple and pear orchard and gardens. Wairepo House is a stylish country home featuring native timbers, stained glass, chapel ceilings,  with views of the estuary and magnificent Mt Arthur ranges.

Paeony Suite - On the top floor, it has one super king room, one twin room, its own lounge and library, kitchenette, bathroom and two balconies. Charlotte Suite - ground floor with wheelchair access. Bronte Lodge, Nelson
Bronte Lodge is unique. It borders an estuary paradise on the historic Bronte Peninsula, an area of stunning beauty in Nelson's Tasman Bay.  The homestead sits in spreading gardens of mature trees, just a few paces from the lapping waters of the private foreshore.
Accommodation: Two luxury suites and two villas.  The Hopkirk and Barkly Suites - The water is almost lapping at the decks of these suites. The spacious sitting rooms include a writing desk, T.V. and telephone. Each suite has its own private facilities including spa bath and shower, dressing room and kitchenette with refrigerator and microwaves. Bedrooms feature king and king/twin beds with electric blankets.  The Hamilton and Stafford Villas - Both villas have dressing rooms, ensuites with double spa baths and showers. Korimako Lodge, Murchison
Korimako is a contemporary country lodge built in 2001 close to the historic township of Murchison, an ideal base from which to explore the untouched wilderness that is the Kahurangi and Nelson Lakes National Parks.

Muritai, Nelson
Originally built in 1903 for the local archdeacon, Muritai Manor was renovated in 1997 keeping its original Edwardian style. Only a 5 minutes drive from the City Centre and 2 hours drive to the Picton inter-island ferry service.

Accommodation: 5 double/twin rooms all with ensuites.  Tasman Room, Rotoroa Room, Brough Room, Buston Room & The Garden Room with its own private entrance through French doors.

West Coast Region 

Holly Homestead, Franz Josef
Originally built in 1926, Holly Homestead is one of the area's finest old timber homes from where you can experience the West Coast, Okarito, Franz Josef Glacier and Fox Glacier and South Westland.  The Franz Josef township offers a choice of restaurants for lunch and dinner.

  4 bedrooms.  Room 1: (Upstairs) Queen Bed and ensuite with heated tile floor.  Room 2: (Upstairs) Super King/Twin with new ensuite bathroom. Extra single bed can be add into this room. If required 3 single beds can be arranged. Room 3: (Upstairs) Queen Room with ensuite bathroom featuring and an old cast iron bathtub. Room 4: (downstairs) Super King/Twin ensuite  The ensuite bathroom has disabled access shower.
Facilities: guest lounge, electric blankets, bathrobes, hairdryers, internet facilities & laundry. Hot and cold drinks are available at any time.


Rosewood, Greymouth
Rosewood was built around the early 1920's as a Gentleman's residence. Native timbers were used extensively throughout this grand old character home, wood panelling in the entrance hallway and lead light windows. It is only 10 - 15 minutes walk from the centre of Greymouth with its cafes, restaurants, shops and galleries.

  5 bedrooms, 3 with ensuite bathrooms, 1 with facilities for the disabled, 2 bedrooms with a guest share bathroom. Rose Room - Queen bed with own bathroom.  Koru room - Queen bed with an ensuite with facilities for the disabled.  Sea Blick - Single with shared bathroom.  Cherry room - Queen & single bed with shared bathroom. Monas room - Super King / Twin with ensuite bathroom.

Wapiti Park Homestead, Hari Hari
Set amidst award winning gardens, the colonial style homestead  overlooks its own deer farm, which specialises in breeding Rocky Mountain Elk (Wapiti). In this peaceful rural setting on the dramatic west coast you will discover a unique combination of elegance, ambience and informal sophistication.
Accommodation:  5 spacious bedrooms. The Rose - King/double bed with ensuite bathroom with spa bath, separate shower & separate toilet. The Oak -  king/double and a single bed with direct access to a balcony. Standard ensuite with shower, toilet & vanity. The Camellia -  super-king/twin bed plus single, and can therefore be used as a triple if required. Small standard ensuite  The Fern - super-king/twin bed with ensuite with bath & shower. The Iris - A smaller ground floor room adjacent to the Rose room. These two are often used by family groups. The room has a super-king/twin bed with bathroom facilities which can accommodate the disabled.
Facilities: The rooms all have electric blankets, fridge, tea/coffee facilities, TV, fresh flowers & fruit bowl & hand made chocolates.  The bathrooms all have a heated towel rail, demist mirror, a range of toiletries, hair dryer, and bathrobes. Full laundry facilities are available.


Wilderness Lodge, Lake Moeraki
In late 2008 the Wilderness Lodge was assessed under the new Qualmark Green Scheme and has become one of the first accommodations in the country to be awarded "Enviro - Gold". This recognises the conservation  and education work undertaken by the Lodge and acknowledges the Lodges's efforts to minimise its impact on the environment.

Kapitea Ridge, Hokitika

The verandas are a perfect place to sit and relax and the large gardens provide opportunities for walks and picnics.  Mill Cottage is listed with the New Zealand Historic Places Trust.

Mount Lyford Lodge

Otahuna, Tai Tapu
Otahuna Lodge is an intimate, exclusive retreat offering seven individual suites within New Zealand's largest historic residence. Otahuna was built in 1895 for prominent Canterbury pioneer Sir Heaton Rhodes. An enduring testament to his love for the finer things in life, the homestead is considered one of the best examples of Queen Anne architecture in Australasia and is protected by a Category One listing from the New Zealand Historic Places Trust.

Tighnafeile is 5005sq ft ( 465msq ) and is built on a land area of 2360m sq. The House was purchased in 2007 by Linda and Alastair McGaw, who have a love of antiques and classic cars. There are four bedrooms with ensuites. A three course evening meal is available, prepared in the expansive kitchen within the house. Lisburn House 
Lisburn House was completed in 1865 as a townhouse and is one of the finest remaining examples of Victorian architecture.  This two-story Gothic-style townhouse has been preserved in original exterior condition, with decorative polychrome brickwork walls, latticework slate roof and stained glass.  The interior features a marble-floor entrance hall with sweeping carved staircase, panelled dining room, open fireplaces, tall arched windows, high ceilings, cornices and spindles.  The house, is rated by the Historic Places Trust as a "Category One" historic home. It is not only a local treasure it is also a national treasure

Built in 1928 as part of the original Presbyterian Orphanage Nisbet Cottage is situated in a quiet area on the way to Otago Peninsula.
