The complete Tanzanian experience all rolled into a comprehensive 14 day programme highlighting the best of African Game Parks and the cultural diversity of Tanzania.  From the rambling plains of the Serengeti, the Tarangire River, and the stunning open air zoo that is the Ngorongoro Crater, to experiencing village life with the Masai and Hadzabe cultures, this programme is designed with comfort and diversity in mind.

ITINERARY      
Day 1

    Dar es Salaam
Arrive in Dar es Salaam.  Meet, Greet and transfer to your hotel.
Day 2 



 
    Dar es Salaam - Arusha
Transfer to the airport for your flight to Kilimanjaro Airport.  On arrival you will be met by your driver.  Transfer to your Lodge in Arusha.  Time at leisure to admire the view. (B,D)
Optional cycling trip to see the flamingos of Lake Manyara available.
Day 3





    Arusha - Lake Manyara National Park
The Safari starts at Lake Manyara known for its abundance of bird life and tree lions.  Today there is a good change of a close encounter with elephants, giraffes or tree lions as well as spotting many colourful birds.  Visit the hot water springs and spend the night in a tented camp. (B,L,D)
Optional cycling trip to see the flamingos of Lake Manyara available.
Day 4




    Lake Natron - Mount Oldonyo Lengai
Drive to Lake Natron taking time to see the flamingos and explore the waterfalls.  Relax this evening or possibility to climb Mount Oldonyo Lengai, a dormant volcano that the Masai climb at periods of long drought to ask their God for rain.  Night in a tented camp. (B,L,D)
Day 5 - 6








    Serengeti National Park
Beautiful and adventurous drive through the Rift Valley to your camp in the Serengeti.  The Serengeti is renowned for its abundance of wildlife, the annual migration of wildebeest, and is one of the best opportunities to view the 'Big 5'.  Spend the next 2 days on game drives with experienced safari drivers viewing wildlife in its natural environment.  Nights in a tented camp. Options: night game drive and balloon flight over the Serengeti with a champagne breakfast.
Day 7 - 8





    Lake Victoria
An early start and a game drive en route to Lake Victoria where you will have time to relax in your lodge overlooking the lake.  Alternatively take advantage of the optional trips.  2 nights accommodation. (B,L.D)
Options:  Canoe trips, bird watching tours, off the beaten track mountain bike rides.
Day 9




    Serengeti - Ndutu Salt Lake - Ngorongoro Conservation Area
Early rise and game drive en route through the Serengeti to Ndutu Lake in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, a dry and fascinating place.  Overnight in your lodge excellently placed in the middle of the path of the Great Migration. (B,L,D)
Day 10







    Ngorongoro Crater
Early rise and departure for a 6 hour game drive in the Ngorongoro Crater.  With its surreal variety and quantity of animal, this is the best place in the world to spot the endangered black rhino in the wild, and is considered to have the densest populated wildlife area in the world.  Ngorongoro Crater always has water and food for the animals, for lions it is a paradise and for game viewing a smorgasbord.  Overnight in a lodge. (B,L,D)
Day 11






    Ngorongoro Crater
A morning sleep in before driving to Lake Eyasi.  Though not really a game destination, Lake Eyasi, just south of the Serengeti, is a wild scenically stunning area where you can get a real insight into the way of life of some of Tanzania's fascinating tribes.  Spend time with the Hadzabe and the Wadatoque people.  Learn about local life and the culture, and maybe go on a hunting trip.  (B,L.D) 
Day 12





    Tarangire National Park
Leave for Tarangire National Park with its dozens of Baobab trees, lions, elephants, 350 species of birds, the rarely seen sable antelope and tree hanging pythons.  Overnight at the Tarangire Safari Lodge which is located in a cliff top setting above the river, giving you a birds eye view over the plain and its wildlife.  (B,L,D)
Day 13



    Tarangire - Masai Mkuru Camp
One last game drive before driving to Massai Mkuru Camel Camp.  Visit an authentic Massai Boma village in Mkuru, or take an optional camel ride to the Baboon caves.  Tented camp accommodation. (B,L,D)
Day 14



    Arusha - Dar es Salaam or Zanzibar
This morning either fly to Dar es Salaam to connect to your international flight or extend your trip with the option of a flight to Zanzibar and a relaxing stay in a beach hotel. (B)
