ITINERARY  
Day 1 Arrive Tripoli
             
Arrive at Tripoli, meet & assist and transfer to your hotel. (D)
Ancient Kingdoms Visa assistance to Libya available.
Day 2 Tripoli - Benghazi
  Morning tour of Tripoli.  Visit the National Museum, then Ahmed Karamali Pasha Mosque and the old Medina with its narrow alleyways, its elegant mosques and the animated souk.  Lunch in a local restaurant.  Late in the day fly to Benghazi. (B,L,D)
Day 3 Benghazi Cemetery - Cyrene - Aldayda
Short tour of Benghazi and its war cemetery, afterwards head toward the beautiful city of Cyrene.  Visit the Forum and Agora, the Acropolis Hill, the Fountain, Sanctuary of Apollo and the Great Temple of Zeus.  Drive to the seaside town of Albayda. (B,L,D)
Day 4 Albayda - Apollonia - Lathroun - Ras el hillal - Albayda
  After breakfast head to Apollonia visiting the Extramural Church, the Theatre and the Three Churches.  Then drive to Lathrun and Ras Al Hilal.  Return to Albayda for dinner. (B,L,D)
Day 5 Albayda - Qaser Libya - Ptolemais - Benghazi - Tripoli
  Departure for Qaser Libya, the residence of the Bishop, and its two churches.  Lunch at a local restaurant.  Afternoon drive to Ptolemais, a city founded in the 3rd century BC.  Visit the Museum, Arch of Constantine, Columns Palace and the great cisterns.  Transfer to the airport and fly to Tripoli. (B,L,D)
OPTION to extend your time to include the Western Desert Battlefields (personalised tours and grave visits can be organised).
Day 6 Tripoli - Sabratha - Sebha - Ubari
  After breakfast head towards Sabratha, a Phoenician trading post with its magnificent Roman Theatres and splendid mosaics of the Byzantine period. Finish the visit with the Ampitheatre.  Lunch in a local restaurant and then fly to Sebha.  Transfer by jeep to the Ubari Magic Lodge - a luxury Libyan desert camp. (B,L,D)
Day 7 Ubari - Lakes - Ubari
 

Breakfast followed by a full day visit to the salt lakes of the Dauada. This area contains a series of lakes surrounded by sand dunes and palm trees.  See Ummelma (the biggest lake with iridescent mineral rich sands), and Gaberoun (originally known as “Bahr ed Doud"/Sea of Worms). (B,L,D)

Day 8 Ubari - Sebha - Tripoli
  Breakfast followed by free time at the camp for relaxing and taking in the surrounding scenery.  Jeep ride to Sebha to fly back to Tripoli.  (B,L,D)
Day 9 Tripoli - Leptis Magna - Tripoli
  Breakfast followed by departure to Leptis Magna, one of the best preserved cities of antiquity.  Visit the Arch of Septimus Severus, Cardo Maximus, Decumanus, Palestra, Baths of Hadrian, Nymphaeum, Street of Colonades, Severus Forum with adjoining Basillica, the harbour, and the old Forum.  Lunch in a local restaurant. Conclude with a visit to the Museum and Amphitheatre.  Return to Tripoli for dinner. (B,L,D)
Day 10 Tripoli departure
  Breakfast.  Transfer to the airport and departure assistance for your onward flight. (B)
