Visit Tripoli: the National Museum, Ahmed Karamalli Pasha mosque and the old Medina. Lunch in a local restaurant. Transfer to the airport and flight to Benghazi. (B,L,D) |
Day 3

Benghazi – Cyrene – Sousa |

Morning visit to Cyrene: the Forum and Agora, Acropolis Hill, the Fountain, Sanctuary of Apollo and Great Temple of Zeus. Lunch in a local restaurant. Then drive to Sousa. (B,L,D) |
Day 4

Sousa – Apollonia – Lathrun – Ras A Hillal – Sousa |

Drive to Ancient Apollonia. Visit the Extra-Mural Church, Theatre, Three Churches and Museum. Then, drive to Lathrun and Ras Al Hillal. Visit the 2 Byzantine Churches. (B,L,D)

Day 5

Sousa – Qasr Libya – Ptolemais – Benghazi – Tripoli |

Depart for Qasr Libya, the residence of the bishop. Then drive to Ptolemais. Visit the Museum, Arch of Constantine, Columns Palace and the great cisterns. Transfer to the airport and fly to Tripoli. (B,L,D)

Day 6

Tripoli – Leptis Magna – Tripoli |

Discover Leptis Magna, one of the best-preserved cities of antiquity. Visit the Arch of Septimus Severus, Cardo Maximus and the Street of Colonnades. Lunch in a local restaurant and afternoon visit to the Museum and Amphitheatre. (B,L,D)

Day 7

Tripoli – Sabratha – Tripoli |

Morning drive to Sabratha. See its magnificent Roman Theatre and one of the most splendid Byzantine mosaics in the world. Later, return to Tripoli. (B,L,D)

Day 8

Departure transfer to the hotel. (B) Or possible extension to the ancient city of Ghadames, gateway to the Sahara.
