They spent the first seven years of married life living in a cave in Petra and were happily married for over 20 years until Mohammed's death. Marguerite's highly acclaimed book "Married to a Bedouin" is published by Penquin UK and is now on its 8th reprint. A fluent Arabic speaker she has many insights into the local culture and also immense knowledge of Petra.
