Saturday Arrival
   

Upon arrival to airport meet our representative and transfer to Tel Aviv.

Overnight: Tel Aviv

Sunday Coastal Plain
 

Leave Tel Aviv for a tour along the great Coastal Plain of the shimmering Mediterranean Sea. Stop to explore the ancient port city of Caesarea. See the aqueducts and the restored amphitheatre now used as a concert venue. Continue onto Haifa for a panoramic view of the city from Mt. Carmel. Stroll through the colourful local markets at Acre and visit the old harbour. See the magnificent limestone grottos via cable-car at Rosh Hanikra.

Monday Upper Galilee
 

Visit the fascinating Old City at Safed (Zfat) and stroll through the artist’s quarter. Enjoy a Jeep tour of the Golan Heights. Peer deep into Syria and see the remains of the ghost town of Kuneitra.  Stop at the former Syrian Army camp at Tel Facher. Explore the source of the Jordan River at the Banias Springs. Evening activity:  Meet with a Kibbutz member and learn about their unique lifestyle.

Tuesday Lower Galilee 
 

Enjoy a short tour of Tiberias. See the excavations of the ancient Roman city of Beith Shean. Stop at Beit Alpha to see the ancient Synagogue of the Zodiac. Swim the warm waters at the natural springs of Gan Hashlosha (weather permitting). Travel down the fertile Jordan Valley for the ascent to Jerusalem. Say a blessing on the top of Mount Scopus as you overlook the city.

Wednesday Jerusalem - Old City
 

See the Tomb of King David on Mt. Zion. Walk along the ancient Roman Cardo. Visit the restored Jewish Quarter. Enjoy a fascinating tour of the underground Western Wall Tunnels. See the excavations of the Southern Wall of the Temple Mount. Stroll through the colourful Oriental Bazaars. Explore 3,000 years of history at Jerusalem’s Citadel Museum.

Thursday Jerusalem - New City
 

See the coming of age Bar-Mitzvah ceremonies at the Western Wall. Enjoy a fascinating walk through the ultra-orthodox neighbourhood at Mea Shearim. Drive by the Knesset, Israel’s parliament and see the famous Menorah with biblical emblems.  Visit the Shrine of the Book to see the original Dead Sea Scrolls. See the model of Jerusalem as it was during the time of King Herod. Experience a moving visit to Yad Vashem Holocaust Memorial and Mount Herzl Military Cemetery. Visit the former Jordanian Army stronghold at Ammunition Hill.

Friday Dead Sea
 

Descend to the Dead Sea – the lowest place on Earth. Visit the ancient city of Qumran where the Dead Sea Scrolls where found.  Continue along the shores of the Dead Sea to the magnificent cliff top fortress of Masada. Ascend via cable car to explore the remains of King Herod’s luxurious palace. Stop for a lunch and spa facilities at a private Dead Sea beach. Take the chance to enjoy a float on the salty waters of the Dead Sea. (lunch included)

Saturday Departure
  Transfer to Ben Gurion airport for departure (B)
