Day 1 Cairo
Arrival transfer to your Pyramids area hotel. See "Warm Welcome" offer above.
Day 2 Cairo
A day to remember! Visit the ancient capital of Memphis, the enduring monuments of Sakkara, the awesome Pyramids of Giza plus the fabulous and mysterious Sphinx. Sound and Light show at the Pyramids included this evening. (B)
Day 3 Cairo - Abu Simbel
Fly to Abu Simbel. Marvel at the magnificent Temples of Ramses II, which celebrate this mighty Pharaoh and Queen Nefertari. See the amazing engineering that saved the temples from a watery grave below Lake Nasser. (B,D)

Day 4 Abu Simbel - Aswan
Optiona: Early opportunity to see the sunrise at Abu Simbel. Fly to Aswan. Later explore the desert refuge of St Simeon's Monastery. (B)

Day 5 Aswan
Morning free in Aswan. At midday, board your cruise boat. Later take a relaxing felucca sail around the islands of Aswan.( B,L,D)
Day 6 Aswan - Kom Ombo - Edfu
See the huge High Dam and the Temple of Philae, before cruising to the Temple of Kom Ombo. Later sail on to Edfu. (B,L,D)
Day 7 Edfu - Esna - Luxor
Explore Edfu's mysterious temple, then cross Esna Lock on your way to Luxor. (B,L,D)
Day 8 Luxor
Unforgettable sights today include the Valley of the Kings, Temple of Queen Hatchepsut and Colossi of Memnon. Later see the awesome Luxor and Karnak Temples. (B,L,D)
Day 9 Luxor - Cairo - Alexandria
Disembark after breakfast. Fly to Cairo, then board a train (in First Class) to Alexandria. Transfer to hotel. (B)
Day 10 El Alamein Battlefield
Tour to El Alamein, site of the epic World War II battle, visiting the Allied cemetery and Museum. (B)
Day 11 Alexandria - Cairo
Visit the newly restored library, the Greco-Roman Museum, 'Pompeii’s Pillar' (red Aswan granite) and the spooky catacombs. Later take the train back to Cairo and transfer to your city hotel. (B)
Day 12 Cairo
Morning tour of Old Cairo's Coptic churches (including the Hanging Church), Roman Fortress, and unique Ben Ezra Synagogue. Later visit the famous Egyptian Museum to see the golden treasures of Tutankhamun, with his jewel-encrusted sarcophagus. Then savour the hustle and bustle of Khan El Khalili Bazaar. (B)
Day 13 Cairo
Departure transfer to the airport. (B)
