    Egypt, the Pyramids, Camel rides, Tutankhamen, Papyrus, hieroglyphics, mummy's and the Red Sea : all combined into the ideal family holiday. 
On this tour you will travel by plane, bus and cruise boat, with some free time at a beach resort for the whole family to relax and 'play'.

Day 1 Cairo     Arrival transfer to your Pyramids area hotel.  Remainder of the day at leisure. (B)

Day 2 Cairo


    A day to remember! Visit the ancient capital of Memphis and the enduring monuments of Sakkara, prototypes for Ancient Egypt's most enduring architectural legacy the Pyramids.  Explore the sand strewn tombs and temples before travelling to the Pyramids of Giza and Sphinx sites, that are both magnificent and awe inspiring.  Have your photo taken on a camel. (B)
Day 3 Cairo - Aswan

    Fly to Aswan and discover Nubian culture.  Take a felucca trip around Aswans' lush islands stopping at the Nubian village on Sohial Island where you can experience local Nubian hospitality, their way of life and visit a Nubian house for a cup of tea.  After the visit sail towards the Nile Cataracts and have a swim and a camel ride. (B)

Day 4 Aswan


    Board your cruise boat.  Today visit the Aswan High Dam (completed in 1902).  You will also visit the Philae Temple, dedicated to the goddess Isis, a structure rescued from the rising waters of Lake Nasser at the time of the High Dam's construction.  Late in the day sail on the Nile on a Felucca to Kitchener's Island and the Aga Khan Mausoleum.  Overnight in Aswan. Day 5 Aswan - Kom Ombo - Edfu


    Sail to Kom Ombo and view its famous temple completed during the reign of Polemy during 181 - 146 BC.  This temple was shared by the two Gods - Sobek and Haroeris.  See the beautiful murals, bas relief and fine views of the river.  Travel to Edfu for your overnight stay. (B,L,D)

Day 6 Edfu - Esna - Luxor


    Visit Edfu where the remains of the Old Kingdom can be viewed, as well as the Temple of Horus and houses of the Byzantine period.  Travel by horse drawn carriage to and from the temple.  Sail to Esna and cross the lock.  Continue to Luxor for overnight. (B,L,D)

Day 7 Luxor



    Disembark this morning after breakfast.  This morning cross the Nile to the West Bank.  Today is full of highlights including the Necropolis of Thebes and the Valley of the Kings, which includes the tombs of the Theban rulers, including Tutankhamen.  Tour the Mortuary Temple of Hatchepsut, the only woman Pharaoh to rule ancient Egypt.  See the famed Colossi of Memmon facing the Nile.  This afternoon in an unforgettable excursion, explore Luxor Temple, built by two kings - Amenophis III and Ramses II.  After touring the temple continue to Karnak Temple, the main centre of worship in ancient Egypt. Day 8 Luxor - Marsa Alam

    Today drive through villages on the banks of the Nile before heading inland through the mountains and desert to the Red Sea coact town of Marsa Alam.  Explore the resort and surrounding areas. (B)
Day 9 - 10  Marsa Alam     Free day to explore the magnificent red sea coast.  Snorkelling and diving can be organised. (B)
Day 11  Marsa Alam - Cairo     Afternoon drive to Hurgada Airport for your flight to Cairo. (B)

Day 12 Cairo


    Visit the Egyptian museum and piece together all the information from your past 11 days.  View the treasures from the Tomb of the Boy King tutankhamen and visit the mummy room (Optional).  Continue to the Citadel which dominates Cairo's skyline.  Also  visit the Mohammed Ali Mosque.  Finish the day with a trip to the 14th century Khan Eli Khalii Bazaar where many bargains may be found. (B)
Day 13 Cairo     Departure transfer to the airport. (B)
