  There is so much to see and experience in this fabulous city, we recommend extending your stay and choosing some of the following tour.                                                                                                 

This small group tour with a maximum of 10 people is the perfect way to discover Istanbul's main sites in an intimate way.  Start your day with a visit to Topkapi Palace which was the official residence in the city of the Ottoman Sultans for 400 years.  Continue to the St Sophia Basilica, the ancient seat of the magnificent Blue Mosque.  After lunch visit the Hippodrome and finish
your day at the Grand Bazaar. (L)
(Daily .  A visit to the underground cistern will replace Topkapi visits on closure days)

OTTOMAN HERITAGE (Half day - morning)
Begin your tour with a visit to Topkapi Palace, the heart of the Ottoman Empire.  Continue to Sultanhamet Mosque (better known as the Blue Mosque) whose minarets dominate the skyline of Istanbul.  Finally visit the Grand Bazaar - an exotic maze of narrow alleys, stunning architectural details and thousands of shops.

BYZANTIAN HERITAGE (Half day - morning)
Start with a visit to St Sophia - now home to a remarkable museum.  Continue to the Roman Hippodrome and the fascinating underground cistern (known as the "Sunken Palace" built in the 6th century.  End your tour with an opportunity to do some haggling at the Grand Bazaar.

GALLIPOLI DAY TOUR (Full day 6 am - 11 pm)
Morning drive to the Gallipoli Peninsula.  On arrival have lunch before yo start your tour of the main sites.  Visit Brighton Beach, Beach Cemetery, ANZAC Cove, Chunuk Bair, Lone Pine, Johnston's Jolly, 57th Regiment Turkish Memorial and the Nek.  Drive back to Istanbul in the evening. (L)
(Daily - year round.  Full day 6 am - 11 pm)
Note: this tour can also be done using private transport & private guide OR coach transport & private guide.

TWO CONTINENTS (Half day - morning)

Visit the magnificent 19th century Dolmabahce Palace, the grandest of Ottoman imperial palaces with its 295 rooms, 43 large salons, 4-ton Bohemian glass chandelier.  Then cross the Bosphorus to the Asian side to Camilca Hill for a panoramic view over to Istanbul.
(Daily.  On Monday &Thursdays Dolmabache Palace will be replaced by a visit to the underground cistern)

1001 NIGHTS (Evening) 
Have a sumptuous dinner (soft drink or wine included) in an exotic oriental setting while you watch a spectacular floorshow of famous belly dancers and typical Anatolian folk dances.  A Turkish singer and various musical groups will also serenade you to make your Istanbul night even more memorable.
BOSPHORUS CRUISE (Half day - morning)
Start your tour with a visit to the 17th century Spice Bazaar and then take an unforgettable cruise along the Bosphorus, the majestic strait that runs through Istanbul linking Europe and Asia.  View the dramatic sights lining the Bosphorus' shores: mosques, bridges, Rumeli Hisari and the 19th century mansions of the Ottoman elite.
(Daily.  On Sundays the Spice Bazaar visit will be replaced by a visit to Suleiman the Magnificent Mosque)

IMPERIAL TOUR (Half day - morning or afternoon)
Discover imperial Istanbul: visit St Sophia home of one of the most remarkable museums in the world, continue with a visit to the Blue Mosque and the Hippodrome with its Egyptian Obelisk.  You will end your tour with an opportunity to do some haggling at the Grand Bazaar, with its 4400 shops.

TURKISH COOKING SCHOOL (Full or half day, including meals)
Today get a practical lesson on how to cook Turkish Cuisine.  Choice of morning or afternoon courses including either lunch or dinner and two glasses of wine.

Discover Istanbul in a vintage American automobile (Desoto, Chevrolet or Plymouth) with a professional guide and Turkish music playing in the background.  Tour includes a Fish sandwich and Turkish coffee.  Two routs are available: Old City or Bosphorus and Asia. 

WALK, EAT AND CHAT (Half Day - morning)
What if you were born in Istanbul - where would you go shopping for food, and what would you eat?  This tour's purpose is to make you live a day as an Istanbulite.  Walk along the narrow streets of the city, learn about the street food on offer, visit small shops, dive in local bazaars to taste fresh fruits and try homemade delicious food.

Istanbul monuments are closed on the following days:
  MON - Dolmabahce & Beylerbeyi Palaces     
TUE - Topkapi Palace, Dolmabahce Palace
WED - Chora Church
THU - Dolmabahce & Beylerbeyi Palaces
SUN - Spice Bazaar
