Day 1 - Thursday


  Welcome to Turkey. On arrival in Istanbul, you will be met by our friendly local representative and transferred to your hotel. This evening join a welcome briefing and meet your fellow travel companions.
Day 2 - Friday

  Today discover the wonders of Istanbul. Visit the Topkapi Palace Museum (excluding Harem), the Hippodrome, the awe-inspiring Blue Mosque, and St Sophia Church.  In the afternoon experience the atmosphere, scents & sounds of the Grand Bazaar - the worlds largest and oldest covered market. (B)
Tonight join an optional dinner with belly dancing show.

Day 3 - Saturday
Istanbul - Gallipoli  - Dardanelles - Canakkale

  Embark on a morning drive to the historic Gallipoli Peninsula. Visit Anzac Cove, Lone Pine Cemetery and Chunuk Bair. Bid farewell to the WWI battlegrounds and continue across the Dardanelles to Canakkale. (B,D)

Day 4 - Sunday
Canakkale - Troy - Pergamum - Izmir

  This morning visit the ancient city of Troy steeped in Greek mythology for the Trojan Wars. Continue to a traditional village and share a meal with locals – the best way to experience the hospitality of Turkish people.  This afternoon, continue to Pergamum and visit the ancient Asclepion Medical Centre. (B,L,D)

Day 5 - Monday
Izmir - Ephesus & St. Mary's House - Izmir

  Today explore the ruins of Ephesus and stroll through some 2,000 year-old marble streets; capture the historic significance of the Library of Celsius and Hadrian's Temple. Continue to St. Mary's stone cottage, where it is believed Virgin Mary spent her last years accompanied by St. John. End your day in a variety of colours & textures with a visit to a regional rug production centre before returning to Izmir. (B)

Day 6 - Tuesday
Izmir - Pamukkale

  Today travel through lush valleys the Cotton Fortress – Pamukkale's incredible white lime cascades formed by hot mineral springs. Visit ruins of the ancient Roman health spa of Hierapolis and immerse yourself in the relaxing atmosphere of the hotel's thermal pool. (B,D)
Day 7 - Wednesday
Pamukkale – Bodrum

  Highlights today include the Castle of St. Peter and the impressive Underwater Museum of Bodrum. (B)

Day 8 - Thursday
Bodrum - Fethiye

  This morning visit the foundations of the Halicarnassus Mausoleum and unearth the secrets of one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Remainder of the day at leisure to fall under the charm of the quaint old quarters of Fethiye. (B,D)

Day 9  - Friday
Fethiye - Myra - Antalya

Absorb the superb coastal views as you travel to Antalya through the ancient cities of Demre & Myra and visit the splendid V century byzantine basilica of St. Nicholas. (B,D)

Day 10 - Saturday
Antalya - Perge - Aspendos - Antalya

  Spend the morning exploring Perge & Aspendos and visit the most beautifully preserved Roman theatre in all Asia Minor. Afternoon at leisure in Antalya. (B,D)

Day 11 - Sunday
Antalya – Konya - Cappadocia

Today travel through heart of Anatolia to the sacred city of Konya, the capital of the Whirling Dervishes. Visit the Melvana Museum named after the famous Sulfi philosopher. Later, visit a superbly restored XIII century Caravanserai and the captivating underground city of Saratli before continuing to Cappadocia. (B,D)

Day 12 - Monday

Early morning optional hot air balloon flight - experience  floating through volcanic valleys, fairy chimneys and caves at sunrise.
Spend the day exploring the incredible lunar landscape of Cappadocia. Uncover towns, churches and fairy chimneys built within rock formations. Visit Avanos, Pasabagi & Devrent Valley, town renowned for high quality earthenware, and try yourself at pottery making.  Tonight dine at a special local restaurant. (B,D)
Later, join an optional Whirling Dervishes performance.

Day 13 - Tuesday
Cappadocia - Ankara

  This morning travel through the salt lake area to Ankara, the capital city of Turkey. Visit the Museum of Anatolian Civilizations, a historic caravanserai, hosting 7500 years old exceptional artefacts, including a valuable collection of the Hittite Civilisation. (B,D)

Day 14 - Wednesday
Ankara - Istanbul. 

Morning return to Istanbul and afternoon at leisure explore the incredible richness of this vibrant city at your own pace. Tonight share a farewell dinner with your traveller companions. (B,D)
Afternoon optional half-day Bosphorus cruise.

Day 15 - Thursday
Istanbul departure

Transfer to the airport for your return flight home. (B)
