The Authentic Turkey small group tour is the perfect way to explore the incredible richness of Turkey in serenity. Embrace the sounds, scents & colours of Istanbul's Grand Bazaar, retrace history at Gallipoli, marvel at the ruins of ancient Roman cities, relax at outstanding coastal areas of the Mediterranean, experience Turkish hospitality over a meal, try your hand at pottery-making and explore the wonders of the dramatic rugged landscapes of Cappadocia.

Day 1 - Thursday


  Welcome to Turkey. On arrival in Istanbul, you will be met by our friendly local representative and transferred to your hotel. This evening join a welcome briefing and meet your fellow travel companions.
Day 2 - Friday
  Today discover the wonders of Istanbul. Visit Topkapi Palace Museum, the Hippodrome, the awe-inspiring Blue Mosque, and St. Sophia Church. This afternoon experience the atmosphere, smells & sounds of the Grand Bazaar, the world's largest and oldest covered market. (B)
Tonight option to join a belly dancing dinner show.
Day 3 - Saturday

Istanbul - Gallipoli - Canakkale

  Embark on a morning drive to the historic Gallipoli Peninsula. Visit Anzac Cove, Lone Pine Cemetery and Chunuk Bair. Bid farewell to the WWI battlegrounds and continue across the Dardanelles to Canakkale. (B,D)
Day 4 - Sunday

Canakkale - Troy - Pergamum - Izmir

  This morning visit the ancient city of Troy steeped in Greek mythology for the Trojan Wars. Continue to a traditional village and share a meal with locals – the best way to experience the hospitality of Turkish people.  This afternoon, continue to Pergamum and visit the ancient Asclepion Medical Centre. (B,L,D)
Day 5 - Monday

Ephesus – St Mary's House – Izmir

  Today explore the ruins of Ephesus and stroll through some 2,000 year-old marble streets; capture the historic significance of the Library of Celsius and Hadrian's Temple. Continue to St. Mary's stone cottage, where it is believed Virgin Mary spent her last years accompanied by St. John. End your day in a variety of colours & textures with a visit to a regional rug production centre before returning to Izmir. (B)
Day 6- Tuesday

Izmir – Pamukkale


Today travel through lush valleys to the Cotton Fortress – Pamukkale's incredible white lime cascades formed by hot mineral springs. Visit ruins of the ancient Roman  health spa of Hierapolis and immerse yourself in the relaxing atmosphere of the hotel's thermal pool. (B,D)

Day 7 - Wednesday

Pamukkale – Bodrum

  Highlights today include the Castle of St. Peter and the impressive Underwater Museum of Bodrum. (B)
Day 8 - Thursday

Bodrum - Cappadocia

  Leisurely morning and flight to Cappadocia, or option to take a Gulet blue cruise detour. (B,D)
Day 9 - Friday


  Early morning optional hot air balloon flight - experience floating through volcanic valleys, fairy chimneys and caves at sunrise.
Spend the day exploring the incredible lunar landscape of Cappadocia. Uncover towns, churches and fairy chimneys built within rock formations. Visit Avanos, Pasabagi & Devrent Valley, towns renowned for high quality earthenware, and try yourself at pottery making. Tonight dine at a special local restaurant. (B,D)
Later, option to join a Whirling Dervishes performance.
Day 10 - Saturday

Cappadocia - Istanbul

  Morning flight to Istanbul and afternoon at leisure explore the incredible richness of this vibrant city at your own pace. (B)
Or join an optional half-day Bosphorus cruise.
Day 11 - Sunday

Istanbul departure

  Transfer to the airport for your onward flight. (B)

Day 8 - Thursday

Bodrum - Fethiye

  Morning visit the Mausoleum at Halicarnassus and afternoon at leisure in coastal Fethiye. (B,D)
Day 9 - Friday


  Day at leisure to relax and fall under the charm of the quaint old quarters of Fethiye. (B)
Day 10 - Saturday


  Board a traditional budget style gullet and sail around Gocek & Yassica Island. (B,L,D)
Day 11 - Sunday

Bedri Rahmi Bay

  Admire stunning coastal landscapes, swim in the blue waters of the Mediterranean, cruise through Domuz Island to Aga Limani. (B,L,D)
Day 12 - Monday
Kumlubük Bay – Marmaris
  Sail through Kulumbuk Bay to beautiful Cennet Island and anchor overnight in the lively town of Marmaris. (B,L,D)
Day 13 - Tuesday
Marmaris – Cappadocia
  Flight to Cappadocia. Resume your journey as per day 8 on main Authentic Turkey itinerary. (B,D)
