| Day 1 |
Izmir - Pergamum - Thyatira - Izmir
Pick up at the airport or at your hotel in Izmir.
Drive to Pergamum and visit the ancient acropolis, home to the Altar of Zeus and the Roman Medical Centre of Asklepion. Continue to Akhisar and visit to Thyatira, a copy of artisans' guilds in St. Paul's time. Return to Izmir for overnight accommodation. (B,L)

Ephesus & St Mary's House - Pamukkale
Explore Ephesus with its expansive Greco-Roman and Christian remains and home of St. Paul from 5 to 57 AD. Visit the Virgin Mary's House on a wooded hilltop where it was miraculously discovered. Finally stop at the restoration of St. John's Basilica where according to legend he was buried. This afternoon drive to Pamukkale, the while "Cotton Fortress". (B,L) |
| Day 3 |
Hierapolis - Laodicea - Philadelhia - Sardix - Izmir |
| |
Visit Hierapolis, home of Philip the Evangelist. Tour the extensive necropolis, churches and baths then stop at Laodicea. Continue to Philadelphia in Alasehir, a favourite city of Paul and John. Later visit Sardis with its beautiful gymnasium and marble paved synagogue. Transfer back to Izmir airport or your hotel. |
