  Cyprus
The 3rd largest island in the Eastern Mediterranean just south of Turkey & Greece has been coveted, won and lost by countless civilizations over the centuries.  The people of Cyprus are warm, friendly and hospitable. There is something here for everyone.

Since the Mycenean Greeks settled in Cyprus over 3000 years ago, establishing the Greek civilisation on the island, there have been Romans, Crusaders, Phoenicians, Franks, Venetians and other conquerors who have all left their mark and these have shaped the island's special character. Aphrodite, mythological goddess of beauty, was born here and spawned a huge cult in pagan times. Yet on these same shores St. Paul himself introduced Christianity to Cyprus by converting the first ever Roman Governor in 45 AD.

Cyprus is an island of great beauty and endless variety. Golden beaches and rugged coastline are contrasted by an impressive backdrop of unusual mountain ranges. Greek temples, Roman, remains, Byzantine churches and Crusader castles.

This special island offers an endless supply of sunshine, blue skies and superb beaches. For more adventurous travellers, Cyprus also has medieval castles, remote mountain villages, cedar forests & UNESCO heritage sites. Discover ancient Greek & Roman ruins, see the remarkable Paphos mosaics, or take a tour of the capital city, Nicosia.  Our itinerary offers an ideal introduction to Cyprus, which can also be customised to suit your wishes. Hotel & apartment options also available in Larnaca, Paphos, Ayia Napa & other locations.
