Day 1   Rome

Upon arrival at Rome Fiumicino airport, transfer to your hotel. Free time. Overnight at hotel.

Day 2   Rome

After breakfast enjoy an guided half day tour of the eternal city including Trevi Fountain, Pantheon, Navona Square and St. Peter Basilica (Outside. On Sundays, Wednesdays and religious holidays is not allowed to visit). The tour ends in St. Peter Square. Time free at leisure in the afternoon. Return to your hotel and overnight. (B)

Day 3   Rome

Breakfast at hotel. Day at leisure for shopping or further explorations at your own pace. (B)

Day 4   Rome - Florence (322 km)

Breakfast at hotel. Transfer from hotel to Rome railway station on your own. Leave Rome to Florence, the "Cradle of the Renaissance", by rail. The train tickets will be delivered at your hotel on arrival day. Upon arrival in Florence, transfer to hotel on your own. Overnight. (B)

Day 5   Day trip: Siena / San Gimignano / Chianti (120 km)

Breakfast at hotel. Reach the arranged meeting point for a full day regular tour driving south from Florence and crossing the beautiful Hills of Chianti. You will first reach San Gimignano, a picturesque, fascinating medieval town declared a World heritage Site by UNESCO and famous for its white wine, the world renowned Vernaccia. The visit is free for independent sightseeing. You will have time to wind your way through the narrow streets and to admire the relaxing landscape surrounding the village. Your day will continue to Siena, a medieval town with the suggestive Piazza del Campo famous for the Palio. Torre del Mangia. You will continue on the direction of the Duomo, one of the most fascinating Italian churches in Gothic style: you will visit its interior and the relative Piccolomini Bookshop. In the afternoon the tour will move to the Chianti area with its impressive picture-postcard landscape and, at a famous wine estate, you will taste the best Chianti red wine along with home made snacks. The tour will ends in front of Santa Maria Novella Station in Florence. Back to hotel on your own and overnight. (BL)

Day 6   Day trip: Cinque Terre (220 km)

After breakfast, reach the arranged meeting point for a whole day dedicated to the discovery of one of the most enchanting landscapes in the world. Five (cinque) villages, suspended between sea and land listed by UNESCO as a World Heritage site. Your visit will begin at daybreak, with arrival at La Spezia, where your will take a train to Riomaggiore. The village, dating from the early thirteenth century, is known for its historic character and its wine. You will then reach Manarola Your journey will continue to Monterosso, an ancient fishing village considered "the pearl of the Cinque Terre", where you will be overcome by its enchanting beaches and lush vegetation that surround the little town. Here you will have free time to plunge into the crystal sea and to sunbathe, before taking the boat to Vernazza, a seaside town surrounding a little natural port. Lunch is included en ???route.  In addition to comfortable clothes we recommend you have swim wear and a hat with you.  The tour will end in front of Santa maria Novella Station in Florence.  Make your way back to your hotel for your overnight. Day 7   Florence - Rome (322 km)

Breakfast at hotel. Transfer to Santa Maria Novella Station on your own to catch the train to Rome. Upon arrival in Rome railway station transfer on your own. Overnight at your hotel. (B)

Day 8   Rome Departure

After breakfast, transfer to Fiumicino airport. (B)
