The first village to visit is Castelgandolfo and its palace (Pope's summer residence) and the lovely lake of Albano, a former ancient volcano. Driving along Tuscolana road, we reach Grottaferrata that is very famous for its important 15th century monastery and church decorated with 16th century frescos of saint Nilus' life. You continue visiting Nemi village built on the slope of a hill, overlooking Nemi lake, another former volcano. This village is very famous because you can sit in a bar tasting wild strawberries and looking at the panorama over the lake. During this tour, you will visit wineries. There are few things in the world as enjoyable as a great glass of wine and, at lunch time, you will be able to sample some of the best wines that Italy has to offer, as well as various cheeses and meats specifically chosen to compliment the wines you are tasting.
