ITINERARY  
Day 1   Rome -  Perugia
    Travel to Perugia by train from Rome. Discover Perugia, a lively town with artistic and architecture gems of exceptional value. It's a must-visit place for chocolate lovers. Stop at a pottery workshop to learn about the realisation of artistic traditional ceramics and if you like try some little decorations. . Overnight in Perugia
     
Day 2  

Perugia – Spello – Bevagna - Montefalco

   

Reach Spello by train and visit this charming village with quiet alleys and unexpected views. The Church of S. Maria houses art treasures that alone are worth a trip to Umbria. A private car will take you from Spello to the  medieval villages of Bevagna and  Montefalco, the "balcony of Umbria" with spectacular views. You will stop at a winery to taste the Sagrantino wine and at an oil  mill for a visit and some olive oil tasting. At the end of the afternoon you will be taken back to Spello and you will get back to Perugia by train.

     
Day 3   Day tour to Assisi by train
   

Assisi is very close to Perugia and a day visit to the town of St. Francis and St. Clare is a must; you will reach it by train from Perugia. Assisi has managed to retain its original medieval character, strolling through its street you can take in beautiful views, especially from the square in front of the Church of St. Clare with the very same cross that is said to have spoken to St. Francis. The Basilica of St. Francis preserves the most exquisite cycle of frescoes by Giotto.

     
Day 4   Day tour to Spoleto by train
   

"Spoleto is the most beautiful discovery I made in Italy", Herman Hesse wrote once. The majestic Rocca Albornoz fortress dominates the city and offers magnificent views of the Duomo and the Towers Bridge, an astonishing piece of engineering dating back to the 1100.

     
Day 5   Montepulciano - Val d'Orcia - Siena
   

Travel by private car with driver to Tuscany and visit the maze of underground wine cellars carved into the rock at Montepulciano. Enjoy the scenic landscape of the Val d'Orcia, the setting of famous movies like the Gladiator.  Overnight near Siena

     
Day 6   Siena
   

A private car will take you from your accommodation into Siena and back at the end of the day. Step back in time visiting the enchanting town of Siena with its shell-shaped square, Piazza del Campo, the Torre del Mangia and the Cathedral. Taste the town's excellent delicacies like the pan forte, ricciarelli and cantucci with Vinsanto.

     
Day 7   En route to Bologna
 
    Travelling by private car, admire the Chianti area, a stunning landscape of rolling hills planted with a sea of vineyards and olive groves, tiny villages, stone farmhouses, noble castles, and charming abbeys like the unique Badia a Passignano. You will visit the abbey and then stop at a winery for some Chianti tasting. Your driver will take you to the train station in Florence where you will board the train to Bologna, the gastronomic capital of Italy. 
     
Day 8   Ferrari World
   

Discover the Ferrari World on a day tour to Maranello where race car enthusiasts can drive a F1 simulator or a real Ferrari on normal street. A shuttle service links the Ferrari premises to the Pavarotti Museum and to food laboratories where you can taste Prosciutto and Balsamic Vinegar.

     
Day 9   Day tour to Ravenna by train
   

Ravenna, a town where art meets the sea, is world-renowned for its hospitality. It is the town of mosaics, with an ancient history, and a town that was declared capital three times. Its glorious past left it with an extensive architectural heritage: as many as eight buildings have been acknowledged as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

     
Day 10   En route to Venice
   

Travel to Venice by train. Discover the day-to-day neighbourhoods of the city away from the tourist traffic by visiting a glass bead workshop. At sunset, enjoy a gondola ride along the canals. Overnight in Venice.
