This 7-day cruise gives you the opportunity to experience the magic of 4 famous rivers: the enchanting Neckar, the romantic Rhine, The picturesque Moselle and the Saar with its unspoilt landscapes.  Highlights include a riverboat in Strasbourg, the university city of Heidelberg, the medieval town of Cochem, Bernkastel - a typical German village and the Roman remains of Trier.

Itinerary

Day 1   SAARBRÜCKEN

 

Transfer from Strasbourg to Saarbrücken included.
Boarding at 1.30 pm. Settling into your cabin. Departure of the cruise for Bernkastel around 2.00 pm. We will travel through the city of Saarbrücken and continue through the magnificent landscapes of the Saar, also call the "Saarschleife", made up of numerous successive meanders through a wooded landscape. Presentation of the crew and welcome cocktail. Dinner on board. Sailing at night.

     
Day 2   BERNKASTEL – COCHEM
   

Arrival in Bernkastel around 8.00 am. Breakfast on board. Free time in Bernkastel or, in the company of our hostess, a walk to explore this famous wine town, known throughout the world for its superb half-timbered houses, the finely wrought grill on the fountain in the market place, the delicately sculpted weather vanes on the rooftops, an incomparable experience. Back on board around 11.00 am and departure of the cruise for Cochem. Lunch on board. As we drift along, you will discover the exceptional landscapes that the picturesque Moselle lays out before you. Dinner during the cruise. Arrival in Cochem around 8.00 pm – a small medieval town dominated by its marvellous castle. Overnight stopover.

     
Day 3  

COCHEM – KOBLENZ

   

Free morning or excursion. Lunch on board, departure to Koblenz. We will pass numerous small villages, each more picturesque than the last, and a hillside of vineyards that comes right down to the banks of the Moselle. Dinner and free time to explore the town of Koblenz with its past steeped in history.

     
Day 4  

KOBLENZ – RUDESHEIM

   

Departure of the boat after breakfast for Rudesheim. Cruise up the most beautiful section of the Romantic Rhine. Throughout this cruise, you will see numerous castles amid the famous vineyards, and the celebrated Rock of the Lorelei. Lunch. Arrival at Rudesheim. Free time or tour, departure in a small train stopping at a wine tasting cellar*, followed by a visit to the museum of mechanical music. Dinner on board  Free evening in the famous Drosselgasse, known throughout the world for its atmosphere and its numerous restaurants and bands. Departure of the boat around midnight.

     
Day 5   EBERBACH
   

Breakfast on board. Morning sail on enchanting Neckar, admiring castles nested on hills (Neckargmünd, Neckarsteinach, Hirschorn). Lunch on board. Arrival at Eberbach around 4.00 pm. Time at leisure to discover the medieval city, located in the natural park "Neckartal-Odenwald" and founded at the 13th century.  Dinner on board will be followed by an evening of entertainment. 

     
Day 6   EBERBACH – HEIDELBERG- MANNHEIM

 

Departure of the boat early in the morning sailing towards Heidelberg. Breakfast and lunch on board, while cruising down the Neckar. Arrival in Heidelberg around 8.00 am. Tour of the city. Meanwhile, your ship sails to Mannheim, where you will rejoin it for lunch. Time at leisure to discover Mannheim on your own. Dinner will be served on board and followed by a gala evening while cruising towards Strasbourg, sailing by night.

     
Day 7   STRASBOURG
   

Breakfast on board. Arrival in Strasbourg around 9.00 am. End of our journey.

     
   

This itinerary is a guide only. For reasons of navigational safety, the captain and crew of the boat alone may decide to modify the itinerary.

Please note Croisi cruises are bilingual with on board commentaries in both French & English. Sightseeing tours are guaranteed in English with either bilingual guides or audiphones.
