Welcome on board from 5.00 pm and time to settle comfortably in your cabins before being presented to the crew during a welcome cocktail reception in the lounge. Dinner on board. In the evening coach trip to see the Porto by night.

| Day 2 |
PORTO – REGUA |

Breakfast on board then cruise off towards Regua along the Douro valley and admire the outstanding wooded landscapes and meanders on the way. You will pass Carrapatelo, the highest lock in Europe (35m), before arriving in Regua around 2.00 pm. Departure by coach for guided visit to Lamego and discover Nossa Senhora Dos Remedios sanctuary and the cathedral. Return to the ship in Regua for dinner around 6.30 pm followed by a dance.

| Day 3 |
REGUA – PINHAO – PORTO ANTIGO |

Buffet breakfast on board before leaving on an excursion to visit the Solar de Mateus in Vila Real, a magnificent 16th century manor house owned by a noble Portuguese family with its beautiful French gardens. Return to the ship in Pinhao around 1.00 pm. Lunch before continuing sailing along the river towards Porto Antigo, through the very heart of the famous Porto vineyards planted in terraces on the magnificent rolling hills which rise to 700m before falling steeply down to the river again. Arrive in Porto Antigo around 6.00 pm. Dinner on board followed by an entertaining evening. Overnight stop.

| Day 4 |
PORTO ANTIGO – PORTO |

Buffet breakfast on board before sailing off towards Porto. Morning spent cruising along the charming Douro river. Aperitif games will be organised in the lounge. Lunch on board before reaching Porto at the end of the morning. Then visit the city. Porto is the second largest city in Portugal and one of the oldest in Europe. Discover one of the most famous wine cellars and taste the delicious wines*. Return to the ship for dinner. Enjoy a free evening in Porto.

| Day 5 |
PORTO – GUIMARAES* - BRAGA* - PORTO |

Breakfast on board then a free morning to stroll around Porto before returning on board for lunch. In the afternoon, depart on an excursion by coach to Guimaraes, historic town associated with Portuguese national identity in 12th century and its beautifully preserved monuments which date back to medieval times. Then on to Braga known under the name of the “Portuguese Rome”, one of the most attractive cities in Portugal. Return to the ship for a gala dinner and folk evening.

PORTO |

Breakfast on board. Disembark at 9.00 am. End of the cruise.
