Day 1


Board in Frankfurt between 6 - 7 pm and settle into your cabins. Crew introduction and welcome cocktail followed by dinner on board.

After buffet breakfast on board join a guided visit of Frankfurt. A bustling business city in the heart of Europe, Frankfurt's eclectic mix of ancient and modern astonishes and delights visitors. A panoramic tour of the city gives the opportunity to see its major attractions and monuments before visiting the old town and view the outside of the Imperial cathedral. Return on board for lunch and begin cruising, first along the Main and then the Rhine  to Mainz. After an afternoon's gentle cruising, arrive in Mainz during the evening. Dinner on board. 


After buffet breakfast on board the morning is free, or take a tour to visit Mainz and the Gutenberg Museum. Capital of the Rhine Palatinate, Mainz was founded more than 2000 years ago by the Romans. In the 17th and 18th centuries, the top architects and sculptors created the basic shape of the town, with fine palaces and churches. Here we have the chance to admire the magnificent historic houses which have been outstandingly well-restored, before we visit the Gutenberg Museum (closed on Mondays). In this world famous museum of book printing, there are two copies of the Gutenberg Bible, the oldest printed book in the world. Return on board for lunch, and continue cruising to Oberwesel, navigating along one of the prettiest parts of the Rhine Valley, viewing castles and vineyards all along the river banks. Arrive late afternoon in Oberwesel with free time for independent exploration. Oberwesel is a remarkable example of medieval town planning. Stroll along the well preserved city walls with their remarkable 16 towers. These round towers, on the banks of the Rhine have a quite unique appeal. Dine onboard followed by an evening of music and dancing.


Enjoy breakfast while cruising on the Mosel. whose meanders have carved out a unique landscape of incredible beauty, just crying out to be explored. The vines that adorn the slopes along its banks are an added attraction to the region. After lunch, arrive in Cochem early afternoon to join a guided visit to Cochem Castle. Located on the top of a hill, more than 100 metres above the Mosel, visit the Reichsburg – a flamboyant Gothic style castle. Return on board for dinner and set sail again. 

Day 5

Enjoy breakfast while cruising along the Moselle. The undulating landscapes, the authentic, traditional villages, the fortified castles of the Mosel territory that line the banks and the field after field of vines as far as the eye can see help to make the Mosel authentic and as nature intended. We have lunch on board and arrive in Bernkastel in the early afternoon for a trip to Idar Oberstein. In the past, the abundance of agate, jasper and amethyst deposits in the area around Idar Oberstein made the town a centre for gemstone cutting and polishing. The water from the river is the main source of power for the gemstone industry. Visit the historic agate mill, dating from the 17th century. Long ago, the gemstone cutters carried out a substantial part of their work lying flat on their stomachs. Head for the town's historic centre and visit Idar Oberstein town, often called the capital of the gemstone industry. This richly diverse and hospitable town is always happy to welcome visitors as tradition dictates. Free time for shopping before returning to Bernkastel for dinner on board, and an evening of entertainment. Continue cruising toward Koblenz through the night. 

Day 6
  Breakfast on board whilst cruising to Koblenz.  Join the guided visit of Koblenz. In the very heart of the picturesque regions around the Rhine and Mosel, Koblenz is surrounded by four low Rhineland mountain ranges and offers visitors a rich panel of cultural monuments and historic buildings. Return for lunch onboard and continue cruising to Wiesbaden, through the famous valley of the Romantic Rhine, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2002. At each and every turn of the river, viewing castles and medieval villages on one of the most beautiful wine regions in Germany. Also pass the famous Lorelei Rock, whose story has always fascinated visitors from all over the world. Dinner on board tonight is followed by an evening of music and dancing. We arrive in Wiesbaden at the end of the evening and moor for the night.
Day 7
After breakfast join a guided tour of Wiesbaden. Wiesbaden is the elegant and attractive capital of the federal state of Hesse, exceptionally charming and one of the oldest and most noble spa towns in Germany. Return on board for lunch and continue cruising to Nierstein, arriving  early afternoon. Set off by coach for a tour to Alzey. The medieval city was made famous by the legendary troubadour Volker von Alzey. This historic town still has many half-timbered houses and the ruins of a medieval wall and a castle. We will also pass the wall encircling the town, see the outside of the small Lutheran church from the 18th century, the Burggrafiat (a 17th century Baroque building), the wine-producing estate, Alzey Castle (today the law courts) and the Roman ruins on a site called "Römerekastell". The visit concludes with a wine tasting before returning on board at Nierstein. Tonight we have our Gala Dinner followed by an evening of music and dancing.  Cruise through the night to Frankfurt.
Day 8
After buffet breakfast on board we disembark at 9.00am. End of our journey

This itinerary is a guide only. For reasons of navigational safety, the captain and crew of the boat alone may decide to modify the itinerary.

Please note Croisi cruises are bilingual with on board commentaries in both French & English. Sightseeing tours are guaranteed in English with either bilingual guides or audiphones.
