ITINERARY:
   
DAY 1   Paris - EPERNAY
   
Transfer from Paris by coach to join the hotel barge in Epernay.  Boarding late afternoon in Epernay followed by crew presentation and welcome cocktail.  Dinner on board.  Overnight stay
     
DAY 2        EPERNAY - DORMANS
   
This morning leave by coach on a tour of Verdun, including a visit to Fort Douaumont, and visit to the Douaumont Ossuary.  The visit will finish with the "Tranchée des Baïonnettes" (Bayonet Trench).  Return on board and continue cruising to Dormans, arriving during the evening.  Overnight stop
     
DAY 3  

DORMANS - CHATEAU THIERRY

    This morning tour the famous Champagne Tourist Route.  Guided tour of the village of Hautvillers, once home to the famous Dom Perignon, and visit a prominent champagne house with a tasting included.  Return on board for an afternoon spent cruising towards Chateau Thierry, arriving in the evening.  Overnight stop.
     
DAY 4   CHATEAU THIERRY - SAINT JEAN LES DEUX JUMEAUX

 

In the morning visit the Remembrance Museum of Belleau, and also the Aisne-Marne Cemetery.  Return on board after the visits and continue cruising to Saint-Jean-Les-Deux-Jumeaux, through the vineyard dotted landscape of the Seine-et-Marne.  Pass Drachy and Champigny en route.   Arrive in the evening, with an overnight stop.

     
DAY 5   SAINT JEAN LES DEUX JUMEAUX - MEAUX - LAGNY SUR MARNE
   
The morning is spend on a leisurely cruise arriving into Meaux in the afternoon to join a guided tour of the Battlefields of the Marne, and the Museum of the Great War.  The circuit of the Battlefields of the marne goes through the most important combat areas.  Later re-join the barge at Lagny-sur-Marne for dinner and an overnight stop.
     
Day 6
  LAGNY SUR MARNE - PARIS
   
Morning cruising to Paris, arriving in the afternoon.  Depart for a coach and foot tour of Paris which will include a visit to Les Invalides, which retraces history from 1871 to 1945 including the two world wars.  Return on board for a Gala evening and an overnight stay in Paris.
     
Day 7
  PARIS
   
Buffet breakfast on board. Morning disembarkation.  End of services.

  CroisiEurope and the ship's Captain reserve the right to modify the cruising itinerary to ensure the safe navigation of the vessel.  The programme may be subject to modification depending on availability at ports of call or passing through the locks.
     
FUEL SURCHARGE

  CroisiEurope will honour the 2016 rates shown without a fuel surcharge unless the price of oil reaches US$120 per barrel.  We reserve the right to charge a fuel supplement if the price of oil is over this amount. Any surcharge will also affect the coach transfer costs.
