ITINERARY:
   
DAY 1   Paris - EPERNAY
   
Transfer from Paris by coach to join the barge in Epernay.  Boarding late afternoon in Epernay followed by crew presentation and welcome cocktail.  Dinner on board.  Overnight stay
     
DAY 2        EPERNAY - DORMANS
   
Depart for the famous Champagne route on todays excursion through the splendid rolling vineyards of the region.  Discovery tour of the village of Hautvilliers, birthplace of Champagne.  Visit a major champagne house followed by a champagne tasting.  Return on board and cruise to Dormans arriving in the evening.  Overnight stay
     
DAY 3  

DORMANS - CHATEAU THIERRY

    Leave by coach on an excursion to Reims, known as a "City of Coronations", where you'll depart on a guided walking tour to discover the Palace Royale, Palace Du Forum (roman Forum) and the Palace de l'Hotel de Ville in the historic centre.  Next enjoy a guided visit to the cathedral which receives over 1 million visitors annually.  After re-boarding the barge the afternoon is spend cruising to Chateau Thierry through the beautiful Marne canal landscape.  Arrive early evening. Overnight stay.
     
DAY 4   CHATEAU THIERRY - SAINT JEAN LES DEUX JUMEAUX

 

Morning excursion to Jean De La Fontaine Museum and Chateau Thierry.  Meet the guide at the quayside and set off on foot for the town centre.  Visit the museum devoted to Jean de la Fontaine.  The tour then continues through the town passing the Chateau walls and the Hotel Dieu where Jean de la Fontaine once lived.  Return on board and continue cruise, passing Drachy and Champigny through the heart of the Seine-et-Marne countryside and its Champagne vines.  Arrive in the evening for your overnight stay in Saint-Jean-Les-Deux-Jumeaux.

     
DAY 5   SAINT JEAN LES DEUX JUMEAUX - MEAUX - LAGNY SUR MARNE
   
The morning is spend on a leisurely cruise arriving into Meaux in the afternoon before an excursion of this charming town - from Meux Cathedral to the Bishops' Palace, passing the Gallo-Roman ramparts and the magnificent Bossuet Garden, traditionally believed to be an early work of Le Notre.  Discover the Brie de Meux Exhibition Room, followed by a tasting of this famous cheese, hailed as "the King of Cheeses".  You have some free time before rejoining the barge in Lagny-sur-Marne for your overnight stay.
     
Day 6
  LAGNY SUR MARNE - PARIS
   
Morning cruising to Paris, arriving in the afternoon.  Join an excursion through the major sites of the capital: the Place de la Republique, the main boulevards, the Opera, the Place de la Madeline, Place Vendome and the Louvre.  Take part on a walk along the prettiest covered walkways in Paris.  Travel back through time and history around the Palais Royal.  Return on board for a Gala evening and overnight stay.
     
Day 7
  PARIS
   
Buffet breakfast on board. Morning disembarkation.  End of services.

FUEL SURCHARGE

  CroisiEurope will honour the 2016 rates shown without a fuel surcharge unless the price of oil reaches US$120 per barrel.  We reserve the right to charge a fuel supplement if the price of oil is over this amount. Any surcharge will also affect the coach transfer costs.
