ITINERARY:
   
DAY 1   DIJON
   
Boarding from 6 pm in Dijon. Presentation of the crew and welcome cocktail followed by dinner on board. Overnight in port.
     
DAY 2        DIJON - PETIT OUGES
   
After breakfast on board join an excursion along the Grands Crus Wine Route, passing through villages and the finest and most prestigious of the Burgundy vineyards. Short stop for a wine tasting at one of the region's many estates.  Back on board and departure of the barge toward Petit-Ouges. Take the opportunity to relax and admire the lush scenery of the Burgundy Canal countryside.  Perhaps take the opportunity to take a bike ride along the canal path. Arrival in Petit-Ouges in the afternoon with free time to discover the "circuit of the three wash-houses" by yourself.  Overnight in port.
     
DAY 3  

PETIT OUGES - SAINT JEAN DE LOSNE

    Today is spent cruising toward Saint Jean de Losne.  Take the time to sit back and admire the vineyards and scenery that we slowly pass by as we cruise - or perhaps walk or cycle along the canal path.  Arrive in Saint Jean de Losne late afternoon.  Overnight in port.
     
DAY 4   SAINT JEAN DE LOSNE - DOLE

 

Today take part in a visit to Saint-Jean-de-Losne, the capital of canal barging in France, which lies at the heart of the French waterways and canal system in southern Burgundy.  Discover monuments to the past such as the Hotel Dieu (surrounded by wrought iron railings dating from the 12 & 13th centuries, the gothic style church of St John the Baptist, the Batellerie Museum (history of navigation) and finally the Hotel de Ville. Return on board for an afternoon spent cruising toward Dole, arriving late afternoon.

     
DAY 5   DOLE - RANCHOT
   
Join an original and unique tour, following the "trail of the Perched Cat". This trail refers the famous tales of a Perched Cat, written by Marcel Aymé who lived in Dole as a child. It also refers to Dole's location, which is perched on a beautiful hillside. Back on board and departure of the barge to Ranchot. You can use the bicycles (available on board) to ride on the bike path that follows our route on the canal. Overnight in port.
     
Day 6
  RANCHOT - BESANCON
   
Morning spent cruising. In the afternoon, departure by coach to Arc-et-Senans for a tour of the Saline-Royale. Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, this royal factory, built between 1775 and 1779 in the shape of a semi-circle, was where salt workers traditionally lived and worked. Back on board in Besancon. Gala evening. Overnight in port.
     
Day 7
  BESANCON
   
Buffet breakfast on board. Disembark at 9 am.  End of our services.

  CroisiEurope and the ship's Captain reserve the right to modify the cruising itinerary to ensure the safe navigation of the vessel.  The programme may be subject to modification depending on availability at ports of call or passing through the locks.
     
FUEL SURCHARGE

  CroisiEurope will honour the 2016 rates shown without a fuel surcharge unless the price of oil reaches US$120 per barrel.  We reserve the right to charge a fuel supplement if the price of oil is over this amount. Any surcharge will also affect the coach transfer costs.
