Day 2: Limassol & Omodos (BL)

Our guide will meet the guests at the lobby of the hotel to set off for today’s tour.

The medieval Castle of Limassol is where according to tradition, after conquering the island in 1192, King Richard the Lionheart of England married Princess Berengaria of Navarre in the castle’s small chapel. The castle itself is surrounded by the old town’s winding shopping streets where visitors can bargain with the local shopkeepers for handicrafts. The Limassol harbour and Marina, with its range of upscale shops and restaurants, is only a short walk away.

Our excursion continues with visiting Omodos, a traditional Cypriot wine- producing village. After a short walking in the village we will visit George’s bakery for demonstrations and tasting of the local products, like arkatena bread and shoushoukos dessert. After leaving the bakery, we will walk in the old streets of the village before making our way to a traditional local restaurant for our lunch, before again walking the old streets and going for a wine tasting. Time is set aside later for wandering the many shops before heading back to the hotel.

Overnight in Limassol.

Day 3: Paphos (BL)

Following breakfast at the hotel, your guide will meet you in the lobby of the hotel to set off for today’s tour.

On the way to Paphos, we will have a short stop at Petra tou Romiou, the legendary birthplace of the goddess Aphrodite-Cypria. A spectacular beach with awe-inspiring views, this golden stretch of sandy coast is where the Greek goddess of love rose from the water.

Next stop will be Yeroskipou, just outside Paphos; where the Ayia Paraskevi with beautiful frescoes church stands. While in Yeroskipou, we will visit a traditional Loukoumi factory and taste this famous local delicacy.

We continue to Paphos and stop at the Church of Panayia Chrysopolitissa, built in the 13th century. Within the compound, one can see St. Paul's Pillar, where the saint was flogged before the Roman Governor Sergius Paulus converted to Christianity.

Lunch will be served to a local tavern. Traditional dishes, like pastitsio or moussaka and Cypriot mezze dishes (small dishes of local tastes; meat or fish menu) will be served.

In the afternoon, we will walk down the harbour and will enjoy Cypriot coffee or local lemonade & ice cream! Return to the hotel in Limassol.

Day 5: Lefkara & Aperanti (BL)

Today’s tour takes us to the village of Lefkara, renowned for its unique architecture, charming narrow streets and limestone houses. Lefkara is celebrated for its magnificent lace making. It is where Leonardo Da Vinci purchased the lace cloth masterpiece with which he decorated the altar of Milan in 1481. Here, the guests will enjoy their morning Cypriot coffee and taste the local Mahalepi Cyprus delicacy and/or local spoon sweet!

We continue to Nicosia, with a rich history that can be traced back to the Bronze Age. The heart of the city, enclosed by the 16th century Venetian walls, is dotted with museums, ancient churches, and medieval buildings preserving the nostalgic atmosphere of years past. We continue to Laiki Geitonia and stroll at leisure down its stone paved streets where lunch will be served in a Greek-Cypriot restaurant.

Leaving Nicosia, we head to Pera village to visit an agro tourism farm. Here we will experience the Cypriot halloumi cheese making by using the traditional method. Anari cheese (similar to ricotta) is also produced as a by-product. We will only use goat & sheep milk, following the traditional recipe. You will be able to assist in some of the steps and to try the freshly made cheeses as soon as they are out of the pot!
