End your tour in vibrant Ho Chi Minh City. This boutique small group tour includes several special activities that will give you an insightful glimpse into local life such as a cooking class in Hue, a visit to a little visited pottery village and a motorbike tour to the rural countryside of Hoi An. We have also ensured that plenty of time remains at leisure to relax or explore independently.

Day 1

Welcome to Vietnam. Meet, assist and transfer to your hotel.

Day 2 Hanoi

Today discover Hanoi. Visit Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, Vietnam's first university and the thousand-year-old Temple of Literature. Afternoon is at leisure to continue your exploration of fascinating Hanoi at your own pace or select an optional walking tour or cooking class. (B)

Day 3
Hanoi - Halong Bay

Depart Hanoi heading to Halong bay, a stunning UNESCO World Heritage site with its 3,000 islands of towering limestone dotting the bay and Gulf of Tonkin. On arrival, board a beautiful junk and sail amongst the thousands of karst limestone islands and islets of Halong Bay. Fresh seafood lunch and dinner will be served on board. Overnight on board. Day 4

Halong Bay - Hanoi - Hue


Wake up early in the morning to admire the sun rising on Halong Bay. After disembarkation travel to Hanoi Airport to catch your flight to Hue.  Enroute visit the ancient But Thap Pagoda. (B)

Day 5


Discover Hue and its refined and distinct atmosphere as you tour the impressive Imperial Citadel.  Then, drive to a typical garden house to discover Hue's culinary art. Accompanied by a chef, prepare traditional Vietnamese dishes that you will savour during lunch. The afternoon is devoted to visit Tu Duc Mausoleum, one of the most beautiful tombs of Hue. Round off your day with a visit to Dong Ba Market to have a glimpse at the daily life of the locals. Return to your hotel for overnight. (B, L)

Day 6
Hue - Danang - Hoi An

This morning depart for a unique motorbike tour that will take you off the beaten path to discover parts of legendary Hue that most visitors don't have the chance to see. Travel back in time to see a society preserved for centuries.  Your experienced motorbike driver will take you out to the villages, winding through quaint towns, and to the beautiful Tam Giang Lagoon. Continue to Tu Hien Beach for a swim and a fresh seafood lunch. This afternoon, drive to Danang via the scenic Hai Van Pass and arrive in Hoi An. (B,L)

Day 7
Hoi An

Today is free for you to explore Hoi An and its many restaurants, old houses, craft shops and art galleries. This beautiful and quaint town is best explored on foot. Stroll along the wharf, shop in the market or have a silk dress or suit fitted. Alternatively you can opt for an optional cycling tour or a guided sightseeing tour of the city. (B)

Day 8

Hoi An - Danang - Ho Chi Minh City


Transfer to Danang Airport and fly to Ho Chi Minh City. On arrival depart for a city tour of the former capital of French Indochina. See the Old Saigon Post Office, Notre Dame Cathedral, Opera House, Reunification Palace and the ethnic Chinese quarter of Cho Lon with the Binh Tay Market. Tonight, farewell dinner at a local restaurant. (B,D)

Day 9

Ho Chi Minh City


After breakfast transfer to the airport for your onward flight. (B) Optional morning tour to the Cu Chi Tunnels (suitable for those departing Ho Chi Minh City on a late afternoon or evening flight)
