Day 1

Ho Chi Minh City - Nam Cat Tien (145 km)
Morning pick up and transfer to Nam Cat Tien National Park.  The Park is home to 600 varieties of plants, 240 types of birds and 50 species of mammals, including the one-horn Javan rhinoceros, one of several endangered mammals.  Check into the Forest Floor Lodge prior to an afternoon cycling to an ethnic village 13 km each way. Visit a family and tour the village before returning to the Park late afternoon.  Take part in a 1 hour Night Safari offering the opportunity to see wild life (via spotlight) such as samba deer, civets, fishing cats, loris, pangolin, guar, nocturnal birds and wild boar feeding at night.  Meals and overnight at the lodge.  (L,D)
Day 2

Nat Cat Tien National Park
Depart from the Lodge on a trail that takes you through a well used track where you can view examples of large trees (Lagerstroemiaor Banglang and the well-known Thung or Tetramelestree) with palms and cycads growing underneath. Looking up into the canopy there are ferns and orchids; lianas and strangler vines in abundance. As with many trails, the best time is early morning before it becomes too hot and busy with other visitors, or in the late afternoon. There is a good chance to see pittas, partridges and other bird species. After lunch visit the Dao Tien Endangered Primate Species Centre. Return to the Lodge late afternoon. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.  (B,L.D)

Day 3

Nam Cat Tien National Park - Dalat (190 km)
Take an early morning walk through the Botanic Garden to Heaven Rapids, giving you a chance to see the primates and a wide variety of birds and other jungle life. Return to the Lodge for breakfast, followed by a couple hours relaxing on the  viewing platform, watching the river or birds, and listening to the gibbons. At 11 am you will be taken by the golf cart to the Bear Rescue Centre viewing platform. The aim of the Dao Tien Endangered Primate Species Centre and this Centre is to rescue and rehabilitate endangered primates & bears and when appropriate release them back into the forests of Cat Tien National Park.
Around noon cross the river by ferry and transfer to Dalat with your packed lunch. Known as the city of Eternal Spring and located in the South-central highlands, Da Lat was an escape gateway for the French who built their villas perched in the mountains. Da Lat offers crisp mountain air and beautiful surrounding forests and lakes. Arrive late afternoon at the hotel with a free evening to wander around the Central Market. Dinner on your own. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 4

Dalat sightseeing
This morning set out for a tour of Dalat. First stop is the Prenn Waterfall to enjoy the cool mountain air and undisturbed forests. Nearby is K'long Mountain Village, a major ethnic minority group, who are very skillful at making decorations from soft wood. The journey continues to Datanla Waterfall, 5 km to the south of Dalat.   Take a cable car to the summit of Phuong Hoang Mount for amazing views and to visit Truc Lam Zen Meditation Centre, next to the largest lake in Dalat, Tuyen Lam.  In the afternoon continue to Crazy House, which has most unusual architecture. Round off the day at XQ Embroidery Gallery which offers a fascinating authentic showcase of the rich and ancient culture of Vietnam. Meals on your own. Overnight at the hotel. (B)

Day 5

Dalat - Nha Trang (200 km)
Depart for a morning  transfer to Nha Trang - a 6 hour drive. Known as one of the best beaches in the world, Nha Trang attracts thousands of tourists each year. There will be several stops on the way to take photos , enjoy the views and for a visit to the Cham towers of Pokhlong. Arrival at your hotel in the afternoon. Meals on your own. Overnight at the hotel. (B)

Day 6

Nha Trang
Morning transfer to Cau Da port to visit the Tri Nguyen Aquarium on Mieu Island, home to many local sea species  Mun Island and Tam Island are among the best islands for snorkeling - giving you the opportunity to see lots of colourful coral and fish. After lunch at a nearby resort the rest of the day is free until the transfer back to your hotel by boat and land transfer.  (B,L)

Day 7

Nha Trang Free Day
Spend the day at leisure to explore the city or simply relax at one of the most beautiful tropical beaches in Vietnam. Meals on your own. Overnight at the hotel. (B)

Day 8

Nha Trang departure
At leisure until transfer (without guide) to the airport for your departure flight. Your room is available till noon only. Meals on your own. (B)
