  Beach Extensions
Travelling in India is also about relaxation.  Why not extend your holiday and treat yourself to a relaxing stay in one of the many beach resorts that dot the Indian Ocean coast to unwind, relax and soak up some sun. Here are some of our favourite options.
  Marari Beach:

This sleepy village 12 kilometres north of Alleppey is dotted with a long, soft, sandy beach ideal to
unwind and to see the traditional Keralan fishing boats which return to the shore with plentiful supplies for the local market.
  Varkala & Kovalam:

Located further south, these two resorts are ideal if you fly out of Trivandarum Airport (only one hour drive away). Kovalam Beach offers a series of small, sandy bays. A popular beach destination, the area offers a wide range of hotels and restaurants. Varkala is a more laid-back village, offering a long golden beach with a stunning backdrop of towering cliffs.
  Sri Lanka or Maldives:

With daily flights operating from Cochin or Trivandarum to Colombo (Sri Lanka) and Male (Maldives), it is both tempting and easy to expand your horizons and consider a beach extension in Sri Lanka or Maldives.
