For the more adventurous traveller, it is hard to imagine a more enjoyable way to see India than by motorbike.
Imagine riding through some of the most spectacular scenery in the world, meandering through the jagged mountain roads of Ladakh: a real sensory overload and an adventure that you will never forget. And you won't be riding just any motorbike, but the legendary 500cc Royal Enfield Bullet.
A fantastic local back-up with an on-call mechanic, a tour coordinator and an assistance vehicle will ensure that this expedition is hassle free, leaving you to ride with peace of mind and take in the unspoilt and grandiose scenery. Our suggested 12 days itinerary will take you from the plains of Delhi, through the foothills of the Himalayas, the Tibetan Plateau and finally to the Indus River Valley and Ladakh, crossing five major passes en route, including the world's highest (Khardung La, 5605m).

  Day 1 

Delhi Arrival
Meeting and assistance on arrival and transfer to your hotel.

  Day 2

Delhi - Chandigarh - Manali
Transfer to the train station to board the Express Train to Chandigarh.  Meet and assist on arrival and transfer to the hotel in Manali for your overnight stay. (B,L,D)

  Day 3

Manali - Rohtang Pass - Keylong (115 km)
On your Royal Enfield bikes travel from manali to Keylong climbing over the Rohtang Pass (3980 m), along the way crossing several villages in the Lahaul Valley such as Khoksar, Sissu, Gondla and Tandi at the confluence of the Chandra and Bhaga Rivers.  On arrival at Keylong check into your hotel with a free evening to explore the town. (B,L,D)

  Day 4

Keylong - Baralacha Pass - Sarchu (107 km)
On your bike travel from Keylong to Sarchu crossing Gemur, Jispa, Darcha and over the 4800 m high Baralachala Pass.  On arrival check into your Camp for the night.  Free time tonight to explore the town of Sarchu. (B,L,D)

  Day 5

Sarchu - Tsokhar (122 km)
Today travel by bike from Sarchu to Tshokar crossing over Naki La (4800 m), Lachang La (5065 m) and the More Plains.  On arrival check into your Camp for the night.  Rest of the day is free to explore your beautiful surroundings.

  Day 6

Tsokhar - Leh (140 km)
Travel from Tsokhar to Leh today over the Tanglang La Pass (5300 m) - the worlds 2nd highest motorable pass.  On arrival at Leh this evening check into your hotel.  Dinner & overnight.
  Day 7

After breakfast ride your Royal Enfields out to Nimo to witness the confluence of the Zanskar and Indus Rivers.  Return to Leh via Magnetic Hill and Gurudwara Pathar Sahib.  Overnight in your hotel.

  Day 8

Leh - Pangong Like (160 km/6-7 hrs)
After breakfast depart for Pangong Lake, situated at 14,500 ft) passing through the 17,350 ft Changla Pass - the 3rd highest motorable road in the world.  Arrive in Pangong which is the highest salt water lake in the world, bordered by China.  Enjoy the beauty of the lake.  Overnight in camp;.
  Day 9

Pangong - Hemis - Thiksey - Shey Palace - Leh (185 km/8-9 hrs)
After breakfast drive back to Leh, passing through Hemis, Thikse Monastery and the Shey Palace.  Overnight in a hotel.


Day 10

Day trip to Khardung La Pass
After breakfast set out for Khardung La Pass, which at 5600 m is the highest motorable pass in the world and has been recorded in the Guiness Book of World Records.  Later return to Leh.  The remainder of the day is free to explore Leh.  Overnight in a hotel

  Day 11

Leh - Delhi
Morning transfer to the airport for a flight to Delhi.  Meet and assistance on arrival and transfer to a hotel for your overnight stay.
  Day 12

Delhi departure
After breakfast transfer to the airport for your home bound or onward flight.
