Day 1
  Vientiane
    Welcome to Laos. Meet, assist and transfer to your hotel.
     
Day 2
  Vientiane
    Spend the day exploring the capital of Laos. Visit Wat Si Saket and the golden Pha That Louang, a masterpiece of Laotian architecture. See also Wat Phra Keo with its superb carved wood panels and Patuxay, a smaller Asian version of the Arc de Triomphe. Later, soak in the atmosphere on the banks of the Mekong at sunset. (B,L)
     
Day 3
 

Vang Vieng - Buddha Park - Phonsavanh

    This morning depart to Buddha Park - an unusual and peaceful garden filled with over 200 eccentric Buddhist and Hindu statues.  Later fly to Xieng Khuang, known locally as Phonsavan. (B)

 
Day 4
  Plain of Jars - Phonsavanh
    Today explore one of the most mysterious areas in the world - the Plain of Jars. This huge archaeological complex is dotted with hundreds of ancient stone 'jars' whose true origins are still undiscovered.  Today you will travel through many local villages and visit various pagodas including the Giant Buddha of Muang Khoun. Day 5
 

Phonsavanh - Luang Prabang

    Morning visit to the local market where tribes of Thai Dam, H'mong and Phuan minorities sell their products each morning. Then drive to the UNESCO World Heritage town of Luang Prabang, stopping en route to visit villages and meet local people. (B,L)
     
Day 6
 

Luang Prabang and Pak Ou Caves

    Spend the morning exploring Luang Prabang.  Venture through the corridors of historical relics housed at the former Royal Palace.  Continue through the streets of downtown Luang Prabang and discover many temples and hidden treasures.  In the afternoon embark on a cruise to Pak Ou Caves - a cavernous limestone structure sheltering hundreds of Buddha statuettes.  (B)
     
Day 7
 

Luang Prabang and Kuang Si Waterfalls

    This morning set off to the beautiful Kuang Si Waterfalls.  The tranquil turquoise pools which collect at the base of the falls are the perfect spot for a relaxing swim.  This afternoon visit the Free The Bears Sanctuary and Kuang Si Butterfly Park. (B)

  Luang Prabang departure
    Departure transfer to the airport for your departure flight. (B)
